Anarchy in the U.S.A

ARE YOU DISILLUSIONED WITH THE STATE OF THE WORLD? ARE YOU SICK TO DEATH OF WORKING YOURSELF TO THE BONE FOR THE INTERESTS OF AN UNCARING RULING CLASS? WORRIED ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE? HORRIFIED BY THE ACTIONS OF OUR MILITARY? POLICING? HOMELESSNESS? CRIME? FEEL TRAPPED IN THE ENDLESS RAT RACE? JUST CURIOUS?

ANARCHISM IS THE IDEOLOGY FOR YOU!!!

AN INTRODUCTION TO THIS PAGE

This page is a springboard for people with either a surface level of understanding of anarchy or those whose values align line up vaguely as "leftist", but haven't codefied their beliefs or haven't examined them too closely yet. Gotta start somewhere! By making this page, I hope to shed a little light on the systems we live under and give readers context for the beliefs they hold and the biases they may be fostering without even knowing. Be warned! I'm still somewhat new at this myself, and given the amount of material that's been written since before the industrial revolution, it would take several lifetimes to know everything!

Anarchism as an ideology is full of people much better articulated than I, so as often as I can, I'll quote and direct to more in-depth pieces instead of fucking them up. I do my best to link all my sources (what IS anarchy if not the free sharing of information!) but inevitably a link will rot or I will forget. HMU on neocities or tumblr if you gotta.

Why all the red and black? A mix of personal taste (see: the main site) and a long association of red/black as working class/anarchist colors throughout history! (see: right sidebar, "Know your allies") The patchwork graffiti style of this page serves as both an eye-catching (possibly eye-straining?) flavor for the ideology within, as well as a reinforcement of the idea that anarchy is something handmade by an average joe with whatever was on hand. The red and black color combo may seem intimidating, but we as anarchists are usually just nerds who care too much for their own good.

What is Anarchy?

Anarchy, in its simplest terms, is a rejection of all institutional and social hierarchies. (WIP)
